The kids & I have been thru a series of challenges, each seeming worse than the one before & many times the challenges don't even end before the next begins.
For quite a while now, I have felt the desire to attribute something, a physical part of me, to them. So today I mustered up the courage and got it done.
These dragonflies are colored to represent each child. These are colors that these kids have chosen for themselves since shortly after birth. They have each carried this color into everything they do...the blankets they use, cups, plates, juices they get to buy...clothes, toys. It's "their" color.
Down the road I will have their names added around them. But baby steps for a first-timer today :)
I must say I am proud of myself. I didn't cry, I didn't whine, I didn't pass out. Thinking of the kids & their excitement to have a reflection of themselves with me always made this much easier than anticipated!
I love all my munchkins <3
